1. Face the music
Pronunciation : फेस द म्यूजिक
Meaning : Accept the unwelcome consequences of one's own actions.
हिंदी अर्थ : किसी के कामों के बुरे नतीजों को स्वीकार करना।
Example : Rishabh pretended he had a Ph.D. to get the job. Now it's come out that he hasn't, he'll have to face the music and resign.

2. Armchair critic
Pronunciation : आर्मचेयर क्रिटिक
Meaning : someone who gives advice based on theory rather than practice.
हिंदी अर्थ : ऐसा व्यक्ति, जो व्यवहारिकता की जगह सिद्धांतों पर आधारित सलाह दे। 
Example : That guy is such an armchair critic - no experience but plenty of advice. 

3. Basket case
Pronunciation : बास्केट केस
Meaning : A person whose agitated mental state leaves  them helpless.
हिंदी अर्थ : ऐसा व्यक्ति, जिसकी मानसिक स्थिति उसे असहाय बना दे।
Example : Parineeta will turn into a basket case if this stressful situation continues. 

4. Vote with one's feet
Pronunciation : वोट विद वंस फीट
Meaning : Show your dislike for something by leaving
हिंदी अर्थ : किसी चीज को छोड़ कर उसके प्रति अरुचि दिखाना
Example : If the conference is boring, people will probably vote with their feet.

5. Burn the candle at both ends
Pronunciation : बर्न द कैंडल एट बोथ एंड्स 
Meaning : exhaust yourself by doing too much.
हिंदी अर्थ : बहुत ज्यादा काम करके खुद को थका लेना। 
Example : Sameer looks exhausted - I'll bet he's been burning the candle at both ends lately.

6. School of hard knocks 
Pronunciation : स्कूल ऑफ हार्ड नॉक्स
Meaning : Someone who goes through the school of hard knocks learns through the positive and negative experiences of life rather than through a formal classroom education.
हिंदी अर्थ : औपचारिक शिक्षा की बजाय अच्छे-बुरे अनुभवों से सीखना।
Example : He never went to college but the school of hard knocks made him a shrewd businessman.
